Yes, we are the Official Feyenoord Rotterdam Camp in Ontario, Canada. This opportunity is provided by Dutch Connections FC who is the Official Partner of Feyenoord Rotterdam in Ontario, Canada.
What is included?
5 days of training with Official and authentic Feyenoord Academy Coaches. Players will learn the same successful methodologies and principles as those players who have been developed through the world famous ‘Varkenoord’. Feyenoord Academy players aspire to become first team players for Feyenoord. Campers will receive an official Feyenoord Soccer Camp certified diploma for the completion of the camp.
What is the uniform?
Each participant will receive an Adidas Feyenoord training kit including Adidas shorts, socks, and training jersey with logo. Training kits will be provided on the first day of camp once players check in.
How do I reserve a spot in the camp?
Registrations are on a first come first serve basis. The registration form must be completed and fully paid online. There will be an Early Bird price until March 31st, 2018. Who are the coaches?
Two or three official coaches from the prestigious Feyenoord Academy will travel to the GTA exclusively to conduct the training sessions in Ontario. All the coaches are licensed by UEFA (by the Dutch federation –KNVB). For the fifth year in a row, the Feyenoord coaches will be assisted by the Dutch Connections FC Academy and Soccer School coaches including former professional and international players. The knowledge and expertise on the pitch at the Feyenoord Camps Canada is unique by Canadian standards. This will help to provide the ultimate camp experience for all of the players.
How do you set up the practice groups on the first day?
All participants are separated by age. Within the first two days, the participants are all evaluated by Feyenoord Academy coaches and switched to a more fitting group based on their skill level.
What are the ratio coach/player?
1 coach for every 12-14 players. We always prefer to organize smaller groups so that players receive more individual attention.
Do players train on natural or artificial grass?
Players will generally train on both natural grass and artificial turf. In Toronto, we will have access to both turf and natural grass. In Mississauga, we will have access to two artificial turf fields.
Are parents allowed to visit during training?
Parents can visit during training sessions as long as they do not interfere in the process of the program. There are designated seating areas where parents will be allowed to observe the training sessions.
Is lunch included in the camp cost?
Lunch is not included in the camp cost. Players are encouraged to bring their own lunch. We do have a local vendor that will have lunch for sale. Although, we will provide shaded seating areas for players to rest and recover between trainings while they enjoy their snacks and lunch.
When do participants eat lunch?
Lunch break is daily from 11:15am – 12:15pm. There will be snack and designated water breaks as well.
What does each participant need to bring?
Players must bring: Soccer cleats, individual water bottle, Packed lunch, sunscreen, The Feyenoord Full Training Kit (Jersey, shorts, socks provided) It is also highly recommended that players bring shin guards, multiple healthy snack, and isotonic drinks such as Powerade, Gatorade, etc.
What will happen if my child gets injured during the camp?
Injuries are unfortunately a part of contact and collision sports such as soccer. On each field we will have more than one First Aid Certified staff member. A fully qualified professional will always be on site to access the injury and treat them accordingly.
